It varies but recently I’ve been favouring WHSmith, which is the cheap version of Moleskine, I’ve actually never owned a Moleskine, I don’t really like the connotations surrounding them (also one of their tag-lines is ‘the notebook that Ernest Hemingway used’ or something.. I’m sure Hemingway also drank water and went for walks occasionally. I’m not sure if any of these things will make you a better writer. It would probably only serve to remind you you will never be Ernest Hemingway). I also really like Piccadilly but you can’t seem to find them very often. They’re normally all dark colours, lined (close together) but I’ll write on my own face if I have to.
What kind of journals do you use when you're out and about?
