Someone I Was
A woman came into the record store and asked me to be a part of her photography project, I was eighteen, she looked maybe my age now. I had to write something on a piece of card and hold it up, It Could Be Anything she said, Tell The World How Happy You Are, or something.
I never felt as awkward growing up as I do right now.
That’s what I wrote in my faulty uneven lettering. But it was perfect, because in the pictures I am standing next to the double doors and she is standing a couple meters away, so people are streaming in and out and looking at what I’m doing, while I’m looking down or away with a tense face and shoulders.
I never felt as awkward growing up as I do right now.
And that’s how it is.

David Welch
I love David Welch. I would kiss David Welch if I ever met David Welch.
This comes from a collection called ‘Material World’, it’s not the type of stuff I would usually go for, but I just really like this. There’s so much thought put into it and it’s extremely well executed. Credit where credit’s due, and I’m sending mine to David Welch.
